How Skoor Works
Skoor is an AI-powered football match analysis platform. It simulates upcoming matches using 25+ statistical metrics, then tells you whether the data points to a strong signal or stays silent. No gut feelings. No guesswork.
What is Skoor?
Most football analysis tools give you a percentage and expect you to figure out the rest. Skoor is different. It ingests historical data, team form, head-to-head records, expected goals, defensive metrics, referee tendencies, and dozens more data points — then runs a simulation engine that produces a confidence score for each match.
If the confidence is high, Skoor fires a signal. If the data is unclear, it gives you a pass. That distinction is what separates Skoor from platforms that force a prediction on every match regardless of data quality.
The algorithm doesn't care about narratives or hype. It reads numbers. And it's been tested on 3+ seasons of real match data across 80 leagues before a single signal reaches you.
The Analysis Process
Every match goes through three stages before you see a result. No shortcuts, no manual overrides.
Ingest
The engine collects fresh data: last 5-match form, xG trends, head-to-head history, home/away splits, card & corner averages, league context, referee stats, and motivation signals. 25 metrics per match.
Simulate
A Dixon-Coles based model simulates thousands of score outcomes weighted by league-calibrated parameters. Each market (result, over/under, BTTS, corners) gets its own probability distribution.
Decide
The confidence engine compares simulated probabilities against threshold gates. If confidence passes the bar, the match gets a SIGNAL. If not, it gets a PASS. No forced calls, ever.
Pulse vs Apex
Not all signals are equal. Skoor operates on two tiers to separate the daily rhythm from the rare, peak-confidence moments.
Pulse
FREE+All strong signals generated daily. Wide coverage across 80 leagues. This is the engine's full output — every match where the data says there's an edge.
Apex
PROThe rarest, highest-confidence signals. A few per week — sometimes none. When Apex fires, it means the algorithm is at its most certain. These moments are what Pro subscribers pay for.
Which Leagues We Cover
Skoor covers 80 leagues across Europe — from the top 5 to Eredivisie, Super Lig, and both European cups. Each league is individually calibrated because a 2-1 in Serie A means something very different from a 2-1 in the Eredivisie.
How We Test Our Accuracy
Every accuracy number you see on Skoor is the result of a walk-forward backtest— the model predicts matches it has never seen using only data available before kickoff. No hindsight, no cherry-picking.
We test across 3+ full seasons of real match data per league. The current production engine has been validated on over 3,900 matches with independent auditor verification.
Our testing doctrine is simple: the algorithm must pass real-world tests at 75%+ accuracy honestly. We do not optimize thresholds to inflate numbers. If accuracy drops, we improve the model — not the test.
